This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Structural Engineer at Madison Taylor Design in Barrie, ON. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for conducting calculations, structural analysis, structural engineering, and utilizing Computer-Aided Design tools to support architectural and design projects.

Qualifications

  • P.Eng. designation with 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large scale residential projects within Ontario.
  •  Proficiency in structural analysis, design tools, and contract administration.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Organized, driven and contributes positively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
  • Ability to understand and meet the goals and expectations of the company and needs of our clientele.

Detailed Role & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

  •  Lead structural analysis for a variety of projects, with a focus on luxury residential design.
  •  Prepare and stamp construction documents and technical reports, as required.
  • Provide cost estimates and alternate solutions to meet budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Architectural, Interior, landscape and Construction teams during various phases of the project, from concept to construction.
  • Provide innovative structural solutions that integrate aesthetic, cost effectiveness and construction feasibility.
  • Manage client relationships and collaborate with contractors.
